Here's how you can save time with electronic claims

Electronic Claims Submissions
Sending claims information from your practice management system directly to every health insurance company in the nation using a the HIPAA mandated format.

Elimination of manual processing, reduction of data errors and acknowledgement of the receiving payor within minutes of submitting the file.

Sound good? These are just some of the benefits of electronic claims submissions.Electronic claims report
In the case of AllWays Health Partners, within 24 hours of receipt of the file, we return a readable report and an electronic file (which can be imported to your system). The file indicates the number assigned to the accepted claims for your tracking purposes and an explanation of any claim rejected for failing a business rule. This enables you to correct the claims and resubmit them within hours instead or waiting for our claims adjudication system to deny the claim on a payment cycle weeks later.

If you already submit claims to any insurance company using a clearinghouse from your practice management system, you can send them to AllWays Health Partners. Our clearinghouse Payor ID number is 04293 and you can select it from your existing system, it’s that easy.

If you do not use a clearinghouse but send directly to other payors and you want to start sending claims directly to us, please contact vchiachio@allwayshealth.org and he can give you all of the information needed to connect to us and submit a test file.

Electronic Remittance
The Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA), or 835, is the electronic transaction that provides claim payment information in the HIPAA-mandated format. ERAs take the claims-processing from payers like AllWays Health Partners and turns it into an Explanation of Payment (EOP).

ERAs can save your billing staff a lot of time by automatically updating your accounts receivables. In addition, your practice management system can use the information to automatically update the primary payor's payment amounts on a COB claim to the secondary payor. Here’s how you can set up an ERA with AllWays Health Partners or your clearinghouse.

If you already submit claims to us using a clearinghouse or send them directly from your practice management system and you are not receiving Electronic Remittance Advice, please complete this form and submit it to AllWays Health Partners.

Submitting claims to Optum or Aetna
If you are submitting claims to Optum for Behavioral Health Services, you must set up ERA and claims submission with Optum directly. Please do not submit behavioral health claims directly to AllWays Health Partners.

Visit our comprehensive claims information page to get information about submitting claims to Aetna in or out of Massachusetts.
